▶ Play Starting11How the Premier League mode works
- Spin the wheel — it lands on a random Premier League club and season, anywhere from 2005-06 to the current campaign.
- Draft one player from that squad into a position they actually play. Wing-backs cover full-back, wide midfielders cover the wings.
- Repeat for 11 rounds until your whole XI is filled — and every player comes from a different club, so no two spins give you the same team.
- Get your verdict — a drum-roll reveal projects your XI's 38-game record and the tier it earns, from a relegation scrap to a perfect season.
Every era of the Premier League
Starting11 spans two decades of the league, so a single XI can mix eras that never actually met. Draft prime Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney from the late-2000s United sides, the Drogba–Lampard–Terry Chelsea spine, Gerrard and Torres at Liverpool, the Agüero-era City, the Arsenal Invincibles core — right through to today's Haaland, Saka, Palmer and Isak. Forty-four clubs are in the pool, including the cult relegation strugglers: Wigan, Bolton, Blackpool, Portsmouth, Hull and more.
The 38-0-0 challenge
No Premier League club has ever won every game of a season. The closest anyone has come to perfection are two legendary campaigns:
- Arsenal, 2003-04 — the "Invincibles" went the whole league season unbeaten, but with 26 wins and 12 draws.
- Manchester City, 2017-18 — the "Centurions" became the first team to reach 100 points, winning 32 of 38, yet still lost twice.
A flawless 38-0-0 has never happened in real life. In Starting11 it is achievable — but it demands an elite player in every position and very little luck to spare.
